SuziSavanah is a native Australian, based in Athlone, the beating heart of Ireland. She is a Lomi Lomi practitioner and teacher, Author, Shaman, Drui in the Irish tradition, and an Archaeologist of Myths and Spirituality. Her Lomi Lomi practice, workshops and daily life are all full of Aloha. Her ethos is one of love.
Born in Brisbane, she was part of the culture of South Pacific Islanders through close family friends and when she left Australia, moved straight to the jungles of Indonesia where she lived and worked for two years. Deeply immersed in their dances, their spirituality, bodywork, the landscape and the culture of the Balinese people until it was part of her bones (iwi). SuziSavanah then spent several years developing qualifications in the the States, before moving to Ireland 20 years ago.
In the mana-filled land of Éire, she has cultivated an intimate connection with the landscape and its ancient knowledge through theatre, a Masters in Landscape Archaeology and shamanic practice. She is always returning that love for land and people through the connection to all those she works with either one to one or in groups.
Story and myth are an important part of her work. It is through the myths of Hawaii that she has deepened her Lomi Lomi treatments and bought Hawaiian spirituality into her daily life and thought. The way myths, stories and land are layered into our psyche is a personal passion of hers. It is a way of connecting with and revealing deeper layers of the self and the spirit of Aloha that weaves through all things. Her Lomi Lomi treatments allow her to connect deeply to Spiritual practice and the Aloha that flows from the divine (Mai ka pō mai), and the heavens (Lani), to bring healing and transformation to all those who dance with her.
Her lineage Source of Hawaiian spirituality and healing are from Indigenous Hawaiian Kahuna, Abraham Kawai'i of Kauai. These teachings were passed on by Louise Klue and to Louise by her first teacher Anthea Hardwick, who was trained by Mette Sorensen. The Lineage also extends to 'Kino Mana' with Susan Floyd who was a close student of Abraham Kawai'i. SuziSavanah has also trained with Lonoa Honua based in Hilo, Hawaii with educator Kekuhi Keali'ikanaka'ole and with Kumu Pa'a Julia Nalani, a 51st Generation indigenous teacher of Hawaiian Culture held by Kumu Pa'a Nui Lawrence Kalainia Kamani from Molokai, Hawai'i.
